As a Non Destructive Evaluation Engineer,
you will work within a government - contractor team performing structural testing on current naval and commercial platforms and experimental designs.
This is a full time onsite position in West Bethesda MD
What you will do:
Responsible for performing on-site inspection of shipboard and model components using Non-Destructive Evaluation methods. Testing and analysis shall be done IAW NAVSEA Technical Publication for Requirements for Nondestructive Testing Methods (T9074-AS-GIB-010/271) and MIL-STD 2035A Nondestructive Testing Acceptance Criteria. Shall provide inspection procedures for each inspection and produce inspection records for each component inspected.
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering. 5 years of experience. Background utilizing one or more of adiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Eddy Current Testing. Experienced in planning, execution, and documenting of one or more of these NDE methods. Demonstrated familiarity with NAVSEA TechPub 271 and MIL-STD 2035A. Background developing inspection procedures and documenting the inspections.
