May be responsible for testing engines or other mechanical components, storage or transport vessels like pipelines or containers, or major structures like bridges or tunnels. Being a Non-Destructive Test Technician requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Non-Destructive Test Technician works under moderate supervision. They also dielectrically test, inspect, and clean equipment in electrical disciplines to ensure proper insulating protective integrity. Clean, test and certify personal protective equipment (PPE), including related equipment, utilizing appropriate testing procedures to address identified visual/electrical failures.
