    Job Summary:

    The P&W Quality & Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for a motivated, technically oriented leader to partner with internal P&W business units, suppliers, and partners to develop and continuously improve NDT systems (i.e. FPI, X-Ray, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, etc). The successful candidate will combine technical experience and demonstrated success working with organizations inside and outside the company as well as leading a team of talented technical individuals. Travel may be up to 50%

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leading a team of certified technical experts providing support to the P&W NDT supply base.
    • Organization and execution of supply base audits and certifications.
    • Provide technical support and procedural guidance to immediate team, internal P&W departments and external suppliers.
    • Develop specifications for continuous improvement and new initiatives.
    • Become member and actively participate in Nadcap.
    • Communicate with upper management on status and risks to program schedule. Participate in weekly status and priority meetings to upper management.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant NDT experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
    • Currently hold or able to obtain a NDT Level 3 in one or more NDT methods.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Requires deep management and experience leading multi-department projects and technical teams.
    • Experience that includes a background in establishing NDT and general quality systems and NDT methods.
    • Requires experience and knowledge in all NDT methods. Ability to interface well with a global supply base.
    • Ability to manage supplier oversight strategy and closure of NDT related escapes.
    • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal and external customers.
    • Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
    • Experience with SAP and Microsoft suite.

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

    • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
