Assistant Project Manager

Summit Architectural Products is a well-established and innovative commercial architectural millwork company with clients based in NYC metro area.

Qualified candidates will have experience in all phases of Architectural Millwork Assistant Project Management and be familiar with AWI standards as well as LEED requirements.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

• Collaborate with Project Manager, Estimator, and Drafter to ensure the successful completion of the project with all aspects of managing projects including the project (milestone) schedule, samples, material and manpower coordination, fabrication coordination, internal communications, client communications, and project close out.
• Attend and record accurate jobsite meetings, any/all schedule concerns and the follow up action items agreed upon.
• Validate and set project cost budget and maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
• Document and communicate additional work and change orders throughout project.
• Execute, monitor and control project ensuring quality and scope and timeline.
• Conduct accurate and complete field measurements.
• Communicate With shop production.
• Review the shop drawings against the architect’s plans and specifications and discuss any discrepancies.
• Review all red-line drawings with drafting/engineering and/or production as required.
• Inspecting the construction sites

Qualitative and Other Attributes Required:

• Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
• Good client management and goodwill building ability.
• Capacity to motivate and lead the teams.
• Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
• Capacity to handle pressure and oversee multiple projects.

Experience:

• Project management in millwork: 3 years (Preferred)
• Procore
• Bluebeam

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
