Project Manager:Position Overview:Responsible for the coordination and completion of awarded projects with an emphasis on injection molded plastic trays and dunnage. Oversees and manages all aspects of assigned projects to include planning, directing, and coordinating all activities to ensure that objectives are accomplished within prescribed costs, quality, and timing parameters. Manage projects, coordinate, and consult with various departments/management, suppliers, and customers at all levels of product design and development, purchasing, injection mold tool builds, production, product deliveries, marketing, maintenance, and any field issues while communicating the status of all projects responsible for.
Job Responsibilities:- Establish specifications, material requirements, and maintain the budget according to the quote for all projects.
- Conduct contract reviews for injection molded product.
- Prepare and issue cost estimates for new and/or revised products.
- Coordinates and participates in all First Article (FA) inspections.
- For assigned projects; prepare and distribute documentation for purchasing, shipping & receiving, and manufacturing. Assure all products conform to customer-mandated specifications/requirements and conduct inspections and acceptance tests.
- Develop a detailed schedule for the project.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all suppliers and potential suppliers.
- Evaluate Suppliers per QMS requirements.
- Aid with resolving problems arising in the development stage, production processes, and any issues found in the field.
- Communicates progress/status on all facets of project including schedules, quality & customer concerns, and project deliverables as required.
Skills:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
- Plastic injection mold part manufacturing and or custom dunnage experience
- Program/Project Management Experience
- Estimating Experience preferred.
- Must be positive, detailed oriented, organized, collaborative and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead projects.
- Good attendance and follow instructions.
- Work independently or within a team.
- Work accurately, with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills
Abilities:- Travel to supplier and customer locations as needed.
- Speak, read, and write in the English language.
- Stand, Walk, and reach with arms, hands, and fingers.
- Lift, carry, push, pull items up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
- Basic Math: count, add, subtract, multiply, divide.
- PC Skills; Word, Excel, Email, Internet, networking awareness
- Operate Company Vehicle, Valid Drivers’ License/Good Driving Record, and ability to read maps.
- Operate Office Machines & Equipment
- Production Planning: materials, raw & finished goods, and inventory.
