SUMMARY: To manage all aspects of the maintenance function supporting plant operations in production of high quality products to support the strategic plan. This involves management of maintenance technology and resources to plan and execute preventive maintenance and repair problems that will result in efficient and cost effective operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Report to upper management any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known. Effectively communicate results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees.
• Conduct selective inventory monthly and verify with computerized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Provide leadership in implementing /maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Direct maintenance supervisor and hourly maintenance associates in their roles and responsibilities to meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost and customer service. This includes review of work schedule, equipment and supplies required to perform the maintenance scheduled, and prepare for operations including, safety checks, repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance assignments.
• Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting/problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and to limit downtime.
• Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goals attainment.
• Coordinate, plan, and supervise the installation of equipment/procurement of utilities, and movement/relocation of equipment.
• Conduct weekly production/safety meetings with department personnel.
• Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime/inefficient operational issues.
• Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• Must be 18 years of age
• Five plus years Supervisory/Management experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Five plus years experience in the maintenance of a process manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Team-oriented and self-directed.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Basic financial skills and understanding
• Project Engineering skills
• Expertise or proficiency with basic office computer software
