As an experienced Project Manager, you will be a key part of the project lifecycle of vehicle and powertrain initiatives. You will work in close cooperation with a variety of stakeholders and team members to ensure that technical delivery is on target according to the project pre-requisites. You will interface with various areas of leadership to track and report project updates. This role will contribute to the Volvo Group’s competitive position in the marketplace by assuring the development and maintenance of products that out-perform the competition in quality, delivery, cost, and function while remaining compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage strategic vendor projects with Drivetrain components and collaborate with cross functional organization on execution on time with quality.
- Participate in AGILE/SCRUM by representing the team in Project Increment planning.
- Participate in cross functional project maintenance and budgeting.
- Represent Propulsion Systems Integration team in data gathering, project planning, reporting, and issue management activities.
Your future team
Our Team, Propulsion Systems Integration, is part of the Powertrain Engineering (PE) function for Volvo Group North America. PE USA is an Application Center responsible for delivering competitive products and services to the Volvo Group North America business (start cost and maintenance). We also ensure Volvo is fulfilling our specific legal (securing total fulfillment of EPA and CARB Certification and Compliance demands) and market demands, using parts and systems developed in collaboration with our global counterparts.
The Propulsion Systems Integration team provides hands on support for installation and commissioning of engineering vehicles to support functional development, vehicle verification and validation as well as factory and customer support for production vehicles.
This role will be located in Greensboro, NC and reports to the North American Powertrain Integration Director.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5 years of related experience
- Heavy/medium duty truck, construction vehicle, or passenger car preferred.
- Experience with SCRUM/AGILE preferred.
- Experience with JIRA preferred.
- Experience with project reporting / management preferred.
- Project management certificates / PMP preferred.
