HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Bierlein is a family owned and operated company providing a full line of demolition and environmental services. Bierlein is headquartered in Midland, Michigan; we are seeking qualified candidates to fill the position heavy equipment operator for our project in New Augusta, MS. Candidates will help deliver Bierlein signature attention to safety, quality and dependability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect and maintain equipment daily.
• Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices.
• Be motivated and work productively.
• Perform work activities in a chemical or industrial facility.
• Adapt to working in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to perform manual labor when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years experience with hydraulic excavators.
• Capable of using shear and grapple to perform demolition activities and scrap sorting.
• Must be able to pass a background screen, drug screen, alcohol screen, and physical.
• Physically able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience on large industrial demolition projects and work in chemical facilities.
• Formal heavy equipment training
• OSHA 10-hour training
• 40-hour Asbestos training
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training
• CDL

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Excavator: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• New Augusta, MS 39462: Relocate before starting work (Required)
