    Medical Assistant Job Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years medical experience in internal medicine or neurology office setting
    • Knowledge and understanding of medical practice care including checking in/out and rooming patients
    • Ability to take detailed patient medical history
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced office setting
    • Ability to summarize hospital notes and test results in EMR/patient medical files
    • Maintain exam rooms, procedure rooms and equipment according to protocol
    • Manage prior authorizations and prescription requests
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, coworkers, and the public
    • Detail oriented: capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to complete it.
    • Critical thinking skills necessary for chart prep and problem solving patient cases.
    • Team player

    Medical Assistant Experience and Education:

    • Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of medical terminology a must
    • EMR experience-Preferred
    • Superior verbal and written skills a must

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
