Network Planning Manager manages a team that plans, designs, evaluates, and optimizes network systems. Oversees network analysis initiatives to gather metrics like effectiveness, efficiency, and security and identify areas for improvement. Being a Network Planning Manager designs solutions to improve this performance. Communicates and collaborates with other organizational teams to design network solutions that align with organizational systems and objectives. Additionally, Network Planning Manager ensures networks are capable of adapting to new organizational initiatives and potential use cases. Requires a bachelor's degree. OFFICE MANAGER/ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

  • Job Overview:
    The Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC) is seeking an organized, independent, and motivated Office Manager/Accounting Assistant. This full-time position will primarily support the Executive Director and the Finance Director as well as provide general assistance to a staff of 15 people. The chosen candidate will work as part of a tight knit team assisting communities on actions such as climate change planning, transportation, economic development and land use and more. This will be a hybrid position with both in-office work and the opportunity for remote work. The position might require occasional attendance at night meetings.

    Roles and activities

    This position will support the Executive Director and Finance Director in the following areas:

    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Billing
    • Co-op request for proposal and billing
    • Notes Receivable
    • General Ledger input and maintenance
    • Audit
    • Board minutes
    • Maintain employee files
    • In-service new employees
    • Reception

    Skills and Qualifications

    Skills and qualifications of the successful candidate include:

    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Word
    • Quick Books experience preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communications
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Superb attention to detail
    • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimum supervision
    • Positive attitude and professional demeanor

    Education and Experience

    The Office Manager/Accounting Assistant must have training and proven experience with Accounting or Bookkeeping. The preferred candidate would have a minimum of an Associate’s degree and three to five years of experience.
