    How You Will Achieve It

    Reporting to the CSA Sr. Manager, the Quality Business Planning Manager will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing CSA projects and serves as liaison between project engineers, project team, and other impacted departments. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving. This role will interact with a team of Computer System Assurance (CSA) validation technical experts, engineers, and management daily to assure project timelines, resourcing, and project deliverables for validation projects involving manufacturing, lab equipment, computer systems, spreadsheets, and other computer system/automation processes.

    • Support the CSA Department financial planning
    • Resource allocation planning (internal & external) while establishing governance and contributor accountability for timely project completion
    • Coordinate and communicate department performance metrics
    • Identify and support department process changes and improvements inspiring colleagues to embrace change and motivate them to continuously improve keeping up with evolving internal and external policies.
    • Manage external resources as necessary
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to evaluate projects for value, cost, benefit, and impact to department.
    • Manage the department project portfolio
    • Interaction with Validation Leadership to provide key project related details
    • Change request oversite
    • Validation document tracking
    • Plans and monitors the execution of CSA validation activities
    • Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports, as requested by management
    • Build strong collaborative relationships with Site leadership, with all Site colleagues and Global groups necessary to drive and implement needed system changes and improvements.

    Must-Have

    • Bachelors in Automation or Engineering or a Science field preferred, with at least 5 years of experience
    • OR Masters Degree with more than 3 years of experience,
    • OR a PhD with 0 years of experience.
    • Previous experience in positions of increasing responsibility within in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within the Validation, Quality, and/or Compliance fields.
    • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse functional groups and layers of management.
    • Able to collaborate and partner cross-functionally
    • In depth knowledge and understanding of GxP regulations and Quality System requirements associated with Computerized Systems
    • Strong experience working in a planning role or familiarity with financial/cost management
    • Proven analytical mindset with a track record of working across disciplines and networks
    • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and think strategically

    Nice-to-Have

    • 7 year experience in a cGMP environment
    • Five (5) years of validation experience with focus in any of the following disciplines:Manufacturing/Automated equipment validation

    Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) equipment validation
    Packaging Validation
    Computer System Validation (CSV)

    • Training in 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP, ISPE, and Annex 11
    • Kneat experience
    • Automation or programming knowledge
    • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
    • Strong technical knowledge and experience with validation/qualification of pharmaceutical processes, equipment, utilities, facilities and/or computer systems is required, as related to sterile products and medical devices

    PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Requires routine sitting, standing, walking, listening and talking
    • Acute mental and visual attention at all times
    • Handle multiple projects while managing frequent interruptions
    • Requires moderate lifting or moving up to 25 pounds (lbs)

    NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

    • Requires regular onsite attendance
    • Must have the ability to work effectively under strict deadlines
    • Must be able and willing to work beyond office hours which may include weekends and holidays
    • Must be capable of supporting up to 10% travel (domestic and international)
