JOB DESCRIPTION:
General Statement Of Duties: This position is responsible for the oversight, management, strategy and execution of the technological infrastructure for the district's corporate and mobile systems. This position will also manage and guide the establishment of IT policies/guidelines. They will provide vision and leadership for designing, developing and implementing IT initiatives that create value for the district customers and business units. The manager must ensure that the IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost efficient and strategically sound. They must be able to build and maintain positive vendor and customer relationships. This position requires solid technical knowledge and skills in order to guide IT staff and lead the district into a future with technology solutions that are efficient, effective and achieve district goals. There will be heavy emphasis placed on project management in this position based on district priorities while providing continuity of management and operations.
Under general direction, individuals assigned to this position are innovative leaders with vision, technical knowledge and leadership skills to understand business needs and how technology solutions can best lead the district into the future. The position requires using best practices and frameworks to maximize operational and financial performance for the organization. Experience in budgeting, in both capital and operational budgets, and grant funding knowledge is necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position will be strategic with limited budget resources to provide appropriate training for all IT staff so that the department is on the leading edge for all IT functions.
