    Kimley-Horn is in need of an entry-level Aviation Planning candidate with a relevant degree in our Lehi, UT office. We are seeking a graduate who is a dynamic, motivated individual that has problem solving and communication skills and a strong work ethic.     Responsibilities

    Responsibilities would include assisting with the development of airport master plans, statewide system plans, on-call aviation planning services, aviation economic impact studies, airport business plans, and support for project managers in general planning tasks along with tasks listed below:

    • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
    • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
    • Evaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulations.
    • Prepare planning and land use studies. 
    • Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies. 
    • Gain exposure to diverse project experiences as we provide services to both the public and private sectors.

    Qualifications

    Position Requirements:

    • Have or in the process of receiving a BS or MS in planning, engineering, or aviation-related studies from an accredited program
    • Have the permanent right to work in the United States
    • 0-2 years of relevant experience
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
    • Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
    • Ability to perform assignments and duties with minimal supervision
    • Desire to learn and develop
    • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Willingness to be flexible, independent, and creative
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and the ability to quickly learn other software systems

    Preferred:

    • Experience with AutoCAD 
    • Experience with GIS
