Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     TITLE: Director of Operations/Finance DEPARTMENT: Administration REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:

    Coordinates administrative and operational systems to support Club achievement of program and fundraising goals. Supports, supervises, advises, and assists Unit Directors and Site Coordinators with overall daily operations at units/branches/Clubs with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery, supervision and training of staff (direct and indirect reports), facilities management and membership administration.

    This individual will serve as an ambassador for the organization and must possess a positive attitude and be able to handle various requests for information from staff, management, parents, donors and supporters.

    KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

    The essential functions or duties are provided for illustration only and may include other reasonable tasks as assigned for the good of The Club.

    Leadership

    -Provide leadership and direction to Unit Directors in the management of their designated branches. -Ensure the effective operation and delivery of programs within the Club and community. -Support the organization’s mission and principles. -Maintain an environment that facilitates the achievement of youth development outcomes. -Implement programs, services and activities that support youth development outcomes. -Monitor adherence to policies and procedures. -Ensure an environment that facilitates achievement of youth development outcomes.

    Strategic Planning

    -Ensures development and implementation of strategic planning processes for overall unit and branch programs, including the development of annual program objectives. -Ensures quality improvement of programs by conducting program evaluations and an annual written analysis of member needs and interests. Compiles monthly statistical reports reflecting activities, attendance and participation, especially in regards to teens.

    Resource Development

    -Work closely with the CEO and staff to support Resource Development efforts.

    Grants

    -Manage, oversee and prepare grants in coordination with the CEO. -Ensure compliance and proper reporting with grants provided through the Club.

    Program Development and Implementation

    -Work with Site Coordinator to make sure the Formula for Impact is being used as a guide to create activities and programs that appeal to youth. -Work with Site Coordinator to establish and maintain Club program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members. -Work with Site Coordinator to ensure that Club staff understand and effectively communicate standards of program; that they ensure program areas are safe, well-ventilated, and well lit; and that Club equipment is maintained in good working condition. -Work with Unit Director and Site Coordinator to ensure the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis and ensure program/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity. -Work with CEO to control Club program and activity expenditures within approved budget. -Prepare program reports according to grant requirements.

    Safety and Security

    -Work with Unit Director and Site Coordinator to ensure program areas are safe that the Club equipment is maintained in good working condition. -Work with Unit Director and Site Coordinator to ensure all safety policies are always enforced. -Conduct regular site visits and work with Unit Director and Site Coordinator to observe programming and assess safety and risk.

    RELATIONSHIPS:

    Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information.

    External: Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize Club.

    ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    -Advise and assist in daily professional development of staff by providing resources and being available to provide training opportunities.
    -Maintains a professional appearance and conducts business using excellent customer service skills.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES OR JOB REQUIREMENTS

    -Ensures that personal timesheet is completed accurately and timely and responsible for preparing the departments timesheets. -Maintain confidentiality of members, employees, donors/supporters and Club information. -Must maintain a high level of computer skills and keep up with changing technology. -Confident in using Word, Excel and Publisher.
    -Ensures that any on the job injury is reported immediately and followed up with appropriate forms. -Notify the CEO or Board President of any real or perceived problems related to the organization -Adheres to all policies and procedures. -Reports any suspected fraud and/or abuse to the CEO or Board President. -Ensures that any reports of harassment are immediately reported so that appropriate actions are taken. -Attend meetings, trainings and workshops as required or necessary.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge:

    -Demonstrated knowledge of principles related to development of youth, group leadership skills and an understanding of group dynamics. -Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision and the recruitment and retention of key personnel -Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities; including recruitment, supervision and motivation -Ability to deal effectively with members, including discipline problems

    Education:

    -Four-year degree in a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.

    Experience:

    -Experience in a Boys & Girls Club (or similar organization) preferred. -Must have experience managing programs or operations based on the developmental needs of young people -Experience managing staff members required

    Physical Requirements:

    -Ability to sit for long periods of time -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds -Ability to reach above and below the waist, turn, twist and manipulate small tools -Ability to move frequently in the completion of job requirements -Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks -Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadlines and with short notice

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    -Will be traveling to the other Club a minimum of twice a week. -Ability to travel for activities such as meetings, classes, and workshops in and out of the area. -Must be able to travel by air as needed to attend training, conferences, and related activities. -Overnight travel as required.
