Network Engineering Director jobs in Montana

Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Your growth opportunity

    Provide technical and field support services for KLJ projects in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.

    • Construction observation and surveying
    • Assist with design, plans, specifications, reports, maps, schedules, estimates, data collection, and documents and agreements as needed
    • Use CADD software and equipment to prepare and revise technical drawings using company established standard procedures Provide quality control by reviewing completed work to ensure compliance with KLJ quality standards
    • Communicate consistently with the project manager, client and contractor
    • Read and interpret construction plans to assist with client management and effectively communicate to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate motorized vehicles
    What you’re responsible for
    • Mentor, lead and direct others Become familiar with the plans and specifications, maps, and related material for each project and be able to utilize the information appropriately Keep up-to-date with CADD equipment, software, and training to improve
    • CADD efficiency and accuracy.
    What you’ll need
    • An Associate's degree in drafting technology or a related field.
