Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • SUMMARY: The Director of Engineering will play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering operations, driving innovation, and supporting the efficient and sustainable operation of our biodiesel plants and renewable diesel refinery. The position will provide visionary leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following:

    • Oversee the development and execution of engineering strategies to enhance plant efficiency, product quality, and environmental sustainability.
    • Mentor and develop engineering staff, ensuring their growth and alignment with company goals.
    • Manage the engineering operations of biodiesel plants and renewable diesel refinery to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, reduce operational costs, and enhance product yields.
    • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering projects, including plant upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting technical specifications and quality standards.
    • Drive sustainability initiatives, working to reduce the company's environmental footprint through innovative engineering solutions and cleaner production processes.
    • Collaborate with external partners, government agencies, and industry associations to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on engineering performance, project status, and budget updates to senior management.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with experience in a leadership or management role within the refining industry or similar.
    • Expertise in biodiesel and renewable diesel production processes and technologies is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading engineering teams.
    • Project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and complete complex projects on time and within budget.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability and safety best practices.
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen to make data-driven decisions.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment varies from an office, Plant production and outside climate conditions, based on the situation. The noise level varies upon which area of production employee is working in.

    NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday. Occasionally extended hours or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
