Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Purpose:


    We're searching for an experienced and passionate Engineering Director to lead our Funds Flow & Cash Management domain. As the Engineering Director for this global domain with engineers based in Sao Paulo, Munich, Berlin and London, you'll be instrumental in delivering products that streamline cash movements, ensure liquidity, minimise risks, and optimise returns across currencies and markets. You will report to the CTO, you are part of PPRO’s Senior Leadership team, and you can choose to be based in either Berlin or Munich.

    What you'll be doing:
    • Lead and mentor a global team of talented engineers, fostering excellence in technical execution and solution delivery
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Finance, and Customer Support to shape and execute our strategic vision for Funds Flow & Cash Management
    • Drive innovation in developing solutions to optimise cash flows, enhance liquidity management, and mitigate risks
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting collaboration and inclusivity to drive creativity, learning, and growth
    • Establish and maintain best practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across all systems


    You'll need:
    • Proven leadership in software engineering, with a track record of managing high-performing teams
    • Deep technical expertise in building scalable, mission-critical systems, preferably within fintech or payments
    • Excellent English communication skills, fostering effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and inspiring teams
    • Passion for innovation, problem-solving, and exceeding customer expectations
    • Understanding of cash management and accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements (preferred)
    • Willingness to travel regularly to Munich and Berlin offices, with occasional international travel to Sao Paulo
    • Hybrid work setup with three days in the office per week
