Job Description:
Alpha Pest Control is seeking to hire a Pest Control Technician to join our team of dedicated professionals. This person will be responsible for delivering high-quality pest and weed control services to our valued clients. You will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team to identify, assess, and effectively eliminate various types of pests in residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities:
We utilize integrated pest and weed management processes and require technicians to utilize our software. You will be responsible for the following:
● Conduct inspections to identify pest infestations, entry points, and conducive conditions for pest activity.
● Identify pests, including insects, scorpions, termites, rodents, bees, birds, etc. to determine appropriate treatment methods.
● Recommend and implement customized pest control plans based on client preferences. Most plans involve pesticides, baits, traps, and exclusion techniques.
● Safely and effectively apply pesticides according to label instructions and state regulations, while using the proper equipment.
● Maintain accurate records of pest and weed control activities, including inspection reports, treatment plans, pesticide applications, and follow-up visits.
● Communicate with clients to educate them about pest control measures, explain treatment options, and provide recommendations for preventing future infestations.
● Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations outlined by federal, state, and local authorities, including the Arizona Department of Agriculture’s Pest Management Division.
● Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and regulations in the pest control industry through training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities. NPMA and PCT magazine are examples.
● Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction with the pest control services provided.
● Collaborate with other members of the pest control team, to coordinate schedules, share information, and support each other in delivering high-quality service.
● Show up on time for work in clean-cut pants and Alpha Pest shirt.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Additional education or licenses in pest control is preferred. If you do not have your generalpest control license, you will have 90 days to get it after start date.
● Previous experience in pest control or a related field is desirable but not required; we arewilling to train motivated individuals.
● Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
● Willingness to work flexible hours, as needed, weekdays between 7am - 5pm.
These duties are aimed at effectively controlling pest populations while prioritizing safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, pest control technicians need to be familiar with specific pests common to the region, such as scorpions, termites, ants, and rodents, and the unique challenges they present.
