Network Control Center Supervisor supervises network control technicians in the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Oversees routine testing, configuration changes, or network hardware or software upgrades. Being a Network Control Center Supervisor ensures network traffic and performance monitoring processes are running to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Responds to incidents using standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Supervisor coordinates with vendors and service providers to ensure required service and quality levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Center Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Control Center Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     • Increase operational effectiveness of product processing as measured by Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs and Inventory (SQDCI)
    • - Train employees & monitor compliance with safety rules & general housekeeping; eliminate slip hazards, improper lifting, cuts & lacerations
    • - Train employees & make sure accurate unloading, sorting, defacing, and tagging of stock items is being performed
    • - Balance headcount to match workload volume and prioritize employee efforts to drive productivity gains
    • - Reduce operating costs by improving process flow, eliminating duplicate steps and seeking employee input better job performance
    • Continuously communicate clear standard operating procedures for all processes within the processing function
    • Consistently train and develop team members on how to best do their job, hit productivity goals, and work safely
    • Provide team members clear instructions for processing pallets that require special, rush or seasonal handling to minimize errors and ensure smooth flow of work
    • Apply a standard approach to communicating with team members by 1) clarify responsibilities and expectations for team members and 2) establish consistent on-going use of leader check-ins with associates
    • Operate with internal customer needs (voice of the customer) in mind; process product in a way that allows stores to receive, unpack and merchandize quickly

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Develop and support a team-oriented environment. Ensure an orderly and neatly maintained area.
    • Ensure department level compliance with key company standards of safety and facility maintenance.
    • Direct work of the team to meet the daily needs of the business.
    • Supervise and lead subordinates (Assistant Team Leads, Processors, etc.)
    • Proactively establish and carry out shrinkage control disciplines and programs.
    • Effectively communicate with other Supervisors in the Warehouse to ensure coordination of other warehouse activities.
    • Complete all internal reporting processes timely and accurately.
    • Train associates according to new hire training policy. Associate coaching, counseling and progressive discipline up to and including termination as appropriate.
    • Manages employee time and attendance, and updates hours appropriately
    • Adhere to vendor required processes and procedures protocol

    Requirements

    • Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
    • Must be accurate with attention to detail.
    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Higher education, including two and four-year degrees related to business management preferred, but not required.
    • One to two years’ experience in a supervisory role in a mid-size to large warehouse, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.
    • Possess the ability to effectively manage in a professional work environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
    • The ability to exercise sound judgment.
    • Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions
    • The ability to learn and communicate new information and processes to all associates within company standards.
    • Basic Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Libre are required.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done), including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (LIST ANY/ALL TYPE OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THIS ROLE)

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must have ability to stand for extended periods (entire shift) and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
    • Ability to bend and twist frequently
    • Ability to squat, kneel and balance
