Network Control Center Manager manages the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Directs testing, configuration changes, or upgrades to network hardware or software. Being a Network Control Center Manager oversees monitoring of the network traffic and performance to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Leads incident response and implements standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Manager develops capacity planning forecasts and strategies. Manages relations with vendors and service providers and monitors performance quality to ensure required service levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. About this position: The Information Systems Network Support Manager role is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the credit union’s network infrastructure ensuring optimal performance of our network systems. What you’ll do: Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of network support technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity. Network Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize network performance, reliability, and security. Incident Management: Respond to network-related incidents and outages promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. Security Management: Implement and enforce network security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect the organization's network infrastructure from security threats and vulnerabilities. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment and services, and ensure service level agreements are met. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies. Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and maintenance activities. Compliance: Ensure the organization's network infrastructure complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS. Budget Management: assists in the development of the IT budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking expenditures, and optimizing costs while meeting operational needs. Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams, such as systems administrators, security specialists, and software developers, to integrate network systems with other IT infrastructure and applications. What You’ll Bring: You’ll like this position if you have... Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with a strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures. Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field of study. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certification is preferred. In-depth knowledge of network security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, SSL remote access, LAN/WLAN configuration and maintenance. Experience working with Vendor (Cisco and load balancers), Layer 2 and 3, BGP, load balancing traffic and engineering for automatic failover, multiple methods for equal-cost load balancing, routing policy to manipulate BGP attributes, and flow analysis. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, MS Exchange, and Active Directory/GPO operations including hardening strategies and techniques. Experience writing and using scripting tools for automated deployment of system changes and software applications. Proven experience organizing and/or managing projects and producing documentation for all staff levels including non-technical staff. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and technologies (e.g. Azure) is desirable.
