Qualification/Responsibilities:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year of recent experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility
• Strong assessment skills
• Knowledge of PCC
• Assist in organizing, developing and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility
• Must possess a working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique to include standard/universal precautions.
• APIC Certification in infection control required
• Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Code of Conduct and HIPAA
