POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Accounting provides oversight over the accounting close process, ensures compliance to local statutory regulations, maintains accounting policies and manages an active internal control process, builds relationships with operations, plays a key role in the development of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis and produces management financial packages.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises employees to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work assignments; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited university is required, Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ relevant accounting experience and 5 years managing high performance teams required.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and databases and advanced level of Microsoft Excel is required.
Certificates & Licenses: CPA/CMA or relevant accounting qualification is preferred.
Other Requirements: Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication.
