Locally owned and operated small business now hiring for a Pet Nail Trim Assistant! This is a rewarding position for the right candidate possessing demonstrable experience with dogs and cats. Job Duties:
-Travel with and share driving responsibilities with Nail Trimmer to client’s homes
-Restrain dogs and cats (primarily but not exclusively) while nails are trimmed
-Restrain dogs during anal gland expression, and miscellaneous other grooming tasks
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
-Experience handling difficult, aggressive, and scared animals, including but not limited to cats and dogs of all sizes
-Ability to repeatedly kneel, hold and lift more than 50lbs, and safely restrain pets to protect both the Nail Trimmer and yourself, while maintaining the safety of the animal
-Confidence and ability to read animal body language is key
-Must be a team player, willing to work closely with nail trimmer, and take guidance and constructive criticism
-Strong skills in clear, quick, and effective communication and customer service
-Punctuality, reliability, and ability to remain calm and professional in any situation are a must
-Must have valid driver’s license, High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and be 18 years of age or older
-Minimum 1 year experience working with animals is required
Pay is dependent on experience and is hourly plus tips and milage when you drive. Background check and working interview are required. Signing a non-compete document is required upon hiring.
