Position Overview:

Youth Dynamics’ vision is to see youth transformed by the power of Christ, integrated into the local church, and impacting their world for Him. This full-time ministry position exists to support this vision by writing, producing, and sharing the many stories of Youth Dynamics. This position is funded by personal support-raising.

Youth Dynamics is seeking a full-time multimedia person with strong writing and video skills to help capture and share the ministry impact to various audiences. We are looking for an inquisitive writer and videographer to learn and help capture our overall story then share it through various platforms including email, blog, newsletter, website, social media, video, photography, and podcasting.

Traveling to various ministry locations is required for this position to participate in community ministries and adventures (e.g. whitewater rafting, rock climbing, hiking) to gather stories from students, volunteers, and staff. Ideally, this position will work out of the home office located in Burlington, Washington, but would consider remote placement for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

• Capture and write ministry impact stories to share on various platforms, including email, blog, newsletters, and direct mail. In addition, acts as proofreader and copy editor for corporate communications.
• Capture, edit, and produce videos and publish on various platforms.
• Lead collaborative effort in creating, launching, and maintaining our podcasting strategy
• Lead collaborative efforts to contribute and maintain library of written stories, videos, podcasts, and photographs for ministry use.
• Create and post regular content to various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and other media outlets.
• Collaborate with the communications team to ensure deadlines are met and messaging is consistent.
• Travel required to various ministry locations to capture story content. Also includes going on adventure activities such as rafting, rock climbing, and hiking.
• Cultivate and steward personal donor relationships (1-2 hours/week at minimum)
• Attend professional development opportunities as needed to grow into your position
• Be a resource in the area of multimedia to our staff and provide IT tech support when needed.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Reports to: Director of Development and Communications

Supervises: Volunteers

Works Collaboratively with: President, Director of Development and Communications, Marketing and Communications Specialist, various staff.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in communication, videography, or related field (preferred)
2. One to three years of related experience
3. Clear, concise, and compelling communication skills (written and oral)
4. Attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines
5. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other software applications (or willingness to learn)
6. Knowledge of and/or experience with social media, podcasting, and video production and editing
7. Ability to effectively communicate and work with others in a team setting
8. Active and growing relationships with Christ and willingness to sign Youth Dynamics Statement of Faith. Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational, and experiential backgrounds
9. A passion for reaching young people
10. Able to work well independently and within a team

Salary and Benefits:

• Pay* $38,400-$51,600 DOE

• Travel required. Travel costs will be covered by Youth Dynamics.
• Position located in Burlington, Washington preferred. Remote option available for the right candidate.
