Growing company in Columbia, SC is looking for an experienced, self-starting Graphic Designer with experience in designing funeral programs using Adobe Photoshop. Candidates must possess solid graphic design and typography skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as be able to thrive in a deadline driven environment. Candidates must be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts, and other designs. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal Graphic Designer will be able to hit the ground running as soon as we bring on a new client or project.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in graphic design or related field prefered.
• Strong conceptual thinker, skilled in layout and design, responsible for brainstorming and executing creative concepts.
• Intimate knowledge and proficiency of relevant design tools required including: Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• A creative problem solver with strong leadership skills
• A great attitude and team player
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and with a team.
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time, with short time frames and meeting deadlines.
• Multi-tasking and strong attention to detail skills are required.
• Manage a production schedule and work requests.
• Excellent and positive communication with clients & other employees.
• Be able to develop creative ideas and guidance based on client direction and feedback.
• Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as Photoshop.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.
• Communicating with clients about layout and design.
• A strong eye for visual composition. Creating concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
• Must be proficient at using office equipment, such as copier, fax, etc.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
