The Quality Assurance Inspector II position for Pall Aeropower Corporation is responsible for performing first article, in-process and final inspection of machined, fabricated, processed, and assembled product, maintaining quality records and documentation as required, and performing related tasks to ensure delivered product meets or exceeds customer requirements and expectations.
This position is part of the Quality Assurance department and is located onsite at New Port Richey, FL. Our mission is to solve our customers' biggest filtration, separation, and purification challenges. And, in doing so, advance health, safety and environmentally responsible technologies.
First Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Overtime is routine and time off is rare the last week of each production month.)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform receiving inspection, final dimensional and visual inspections, as well as complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to AS9102 requirements using DISCUS / NetInspect software, and participate in FAIR reviews with customers.
Inspect incoming parts to assure they carry approved documentation, certifications and meet Purchase Order requirements and participate in Quality Problem Resolution including writing non-conformances and work closely with the Quality Engineer to implement Corrective Actions.
Perform in-process and final inspections to assure compliance with drawings, documentation and customer requirements on complex, close tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies with critical internal and external dimensions using all forms of conventional inspection equipment including CMM, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, optical comparator, height gauges, ring gauges, pin gauges, etc. Review Customer Flow Down requirements called out on the Drawing or Purchase Order and verify parts meet all requirements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED).
Minimum of five (5) years of inspection experience in an Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing ISO9001/AS9100 environment.
Skilled with calipers, micrometers, height gages, comparator oscilloscopes, spectrophotometer vision systems and other precision instruments.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Completing Government Product Lot Testing (PLT), Government First Article Testing (FAT) and FAA Conformity Testing reports.
Aerospace Delegated Source Inspection.
Other requirements:
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
Successfully pass the Ishihara’s Test for Color Deficiency, and Jaeger Level 1 eye examinations per PACS-PQ-0029.
Must have a minimum of a 20/25 vision (with correction).
Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals as required.
