Job Summary

The Freight Processing Clerk receives freight, transfers and maintains back stock on all merchandise. Maintains a positive company image by being courteous and professional in all situations with customers and employees.

Freight Processing Clerk Immediate Supervisor: Stockroom Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

· Receive new merchandise

· Process new merchandise

· Prepare transfers and return to vendor merchandise for transport

· Prepare and process mis-mates

· Record and send out damage goods

· Able to handle a pallet jack to unload a truck and place in a designated staging area

· Keep work area clean and safe from hazards

· Clean and repair minor damage to merchandise and return to the sales floor

· Make sure all fire lanes or exits remain clear according to safety guidelines

· Provide superior customer service

· Assist team members and help in other areas as directed by supervisor or management.

Qualifications

· Passion for superior service and helping others

· Cheerful and positive attitude

· Consistency and reliability

· Be willing to work a flexible schedule

· Ability to bend, stoop, stand for long periods of time, and climb a ladder per safety guidelines

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

· Must be 16 years or older
