The Capital Markets group is responsible for the pricing, hedging, trading, and delivery of the company’s mortgage loans. The Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the mortgage loan delivery process and will be given the unique opportunity to interact with all departments of the company. Through this role, the candidate will gain an understanding of the various departments’ roles and responsibilities, leading towards continued professional growth in a dynamic organization. The candidate should be a college graduate who is highly motivated, organized and can work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment to support the mortgage loan delivery process. What we are looking for: Responsibilities Analyst will develop a strong understanding of mortgage capital markets, including all aspects of loan sales and issuance of mortgage-backed securities. Responsible for delivery of loans to the GSEs, including verifying eligibility with investor guidelines, review of data for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining all necessary releases from interested parties. Interact closely with the Trading Desk to address any issues with mortgage loan allocations and trades to ensure prompt resolution of issues and timely settlements. Communicates with broker dealers to confirm trade details and resolve any trade issues. Coordinates with custodian for shipment of loan files to take-out investors and to ensure timely pool certifications. Monitors open forward sale commitments on an ongoing basis and works with traders to ensure trades are satisfied within the required deadlines. Works closely with Treasury team and warehouse lenders to ensure timely and complete settlement of loan sale proceeds. Follows up with internal business partners for resolution of data and collateral defects precluding delivery of loans. Requirements High School Diploma Required, Bachelor’s degree, in business administration, finance or related field preferred Strong background in Excel, including ability to summarize data via formulas, lookups, and pivot tables. Working knowledge of SQL is a plus Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with various groups within the company as well as external business partners, both verbally and in writing. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. High level of motivation and accountability. Ability to multitask and adhere to firm deadlines. Proactive in identifying problems and opportunities for improvements. Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $57,272.00 - $70,748.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
