Mortgage Operations Specialist jobs in Palmdale, CA

Description

The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for reviewing Non-QM, Non-Agency, DSCR, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, working with Investor, Brokers, and internal Account Executives; and reviewing credit, capacity, compliance, and collateral characteristics of a loan file to ensure they meet investor quality standards.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Work with clients to perform daily loan reviews, ensuring accuracy of loan findings
• Assist internal teams to resolve issues in order to keep pipeline movement and an amazing customer experience
• Participate in the remediation of identified defects with Operations
• Communicate identified defects effectively to internal and external counter parties
• Act as a resource and subject matter expert for questions 
• Analyze calculations and verifications of income & assets, and evaluations of credit reports, purchase contracts, appraisals, title commitments, and other loan pertinent documentation
• Stay current on all agency, state, and federal guidelines, and participate in on-going training as industry evolves
• Work well with others including mentoring 
• Manage time efficiently and prioritize workloads to meet strict deadlines while handling multiple tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work Experience
• Knowledge of Non QM, Non-Agency, DSCR, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA guidelines and Federal regulatory guidelines and procedures
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Encompass preferred
• At least an Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office Suite 
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads
