The Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day loan processing operations of a mortgage company. Responsibilities and Duties
· Oversee the daily operations of the mortgage processing department, including loan origination, underwriting, and closing
· Ensure that all loans are processed in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with company policy and procedure
· Review and approve loan files for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to underwriting
· Manage a team of mortgage processors, providing guidance and support as needed
· Monitor individual and team performance, providing feedback and coaching as necessary
· Handle escalated issues and customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner
· Serve as a liaison between the processing department and other departments within the organization
· Keep abreast of industry changes and updates, ensuring that company policies and procedures are updated accordingly
· Maintain accurate records of all loan files and documentation
· Prepare regular reports on departmental activity and performance
· Participate in departmental budgeting and forecasting
· Perform quality control reviews of loan files
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
· 5 years experience in mortgage loan processing
· Expert knowledge of mortgage loan processing software and systems
· Strong understanding of federal, state, and local lending regulations
· Ability to lead and manage a team of loan processors
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
· Highly organized with superb attention to detail
