This position is primarily responsible for organizing and directing all of the bank’s loan operational functions including systems and personnel. Also responsible for evaluating the future needs of the loan Servicing department as it relates to being a large bank servicer.
As a AVP Loan Servicing Manager you will:
- Plan, direct and control daily activities of Loan Servicing Department, ensuring quality service is delivered in an effective and efficient manner.
- Securing, insuring, and documenting all collateral related items.
- Oversee both Loan Servicing and Post Closing Functions.
- Ability to develop and grow strong leadership caliber team members.
- Ability to think about efficiencies and new ideas that serve the global picture while still being able to solve for the one off unique need.
- Maintain communication with senior leaders, loan officers, administrative assistants and other internal departments to resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
- Maintaining and following investor, regulatory, and bank guidelines as it relates to mortgage & consumer loan servicing.
- Maintaining and reporting audit information and ensuring clean audits both internal and external.
- Review policies, procedures, and job functions on a semiannual basis.
- Assist loan servicing and post closing employees with resolving more complex problems and troubleshoot system and procedural errors to minimize customer impact.
- Compile and analyze daily, weekly and monthly volume to establish proper staffing levels and ensure work is processed in a timely manner while maintaining optimum efficiency ratio.
- Familiarity with bank loan programs, products and services and reporting and recording requirements as a large servicer.
- Manage and develop direct reports by maintaining effective communications and encouraging decision making and problem-solving skills. Select, train, manage and evaluate employees in accordance with bank objectives and guidelines.
- Stay informed regarding regulatory changes, new technologies, and services affecting the banking industry by reading industry information and email updates.
- Ability to perform the duties of your teams, not just manage them.
- Assist in researching and proposing new equipment, systems, or procedures improving efficiency of department within budget guidelines. Coordinate implementation of new equipment, systems, products, services and procedures within department.
- Recommend and implement controls to ensure safety and security of employees, customer, or bank records; enforce procedures and controls established by State & Federal regulations, Chief Credit Officer, audit, security, or outside regulatory agencies.
- Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be team player open to change.
- 5 years loan Servicing experience preferred with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Requires a considerable working knowledge of secondary market in mortgage banking and mortgage-backed securities.
- Ability to evaluate and maintain safe lending practices and communicate recommendations and proposals for service and efficiency enhancements.
- Good project management abilities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
