Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in residential mortgage lending
• 3-5 years of front-line processing experience; Wholesale experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional loan programs, in addition to desktop underwriter guidelines
• Thorough knowledge of various property types, including, but not limited to, SFR, Condo, PUDs, 2-4 units and Manufactured Homes
• Well-developed understanding of mortgage processing, underwriting, closing procedures
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written & verbal)
• Ability to work well independently, multi-task, and handle time-sensitive material in a fast-paced environment
• Results-oriented, with strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing pre-closing reviews, various FHA checks, verification of employment, pulling flood certificates and FEMA disaster reports, and inputting homeowner, flood insurance, and appraisal information into the LOS database
• Maintain open channels of communications with internal and external parties with regards to loan statuses
• Verify that all disclosures are made in compliance with AFR policies, Federal, State, and Local regulations, and agency guidelines, including, but not limited to, FannieMae, FreddieMac, FHA, VA, Conventional, and USDA
• Communicate frequently with internal and external partners to ensure superior customer service
• Management and oversight of your pipeline
• Provide daily and weekly updates to management team
