Team Loan Originator / LOA - Portage, IN

    Basic Duties of a Team Loan Originator and/or a Loan Originator Assistant are listed below. For complete description of the position, the hiring manager will provide during the interview process.
     
    Team Loan Originator
    1. Completes residential mortgage loan applications.
    2. Works with Loan Originators to arrange residential mortgage loan credit transactions to meet clients' needs.
    3. Assists consumers in identifying proper residential mortgage loan products.
    4. Advertises and communicates to the general public loan origination services.
    5. Completes all internal required continuing education courses assigned within in the time they are due.
    6. Exercise proficiency with all technology requirements including, but not limited to: Encompass, Compensafe and Paychex.
    7. Represent FCM, both ethically and professionally, with a positive attitude and demeanor.
    8. Provide superior customer service, while exemplifying the FCM culture in the community.
    9. Uphold all internal and regulatory compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures.
    10. Attend all required staff meetings.
    11. Report hours of work to management when due.
    12. Complete mandatory new employee orientation.
    13. Maintain requirements of the Dodd Frank / NMLS registration process.
    14. Other duties as assigned.
     
    Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business; or related field preferred, high school diploma or GED 1-3 years of related experience.

    Responsibilities of Loan Originator Assistant:
    • Accepts assignment with an individual, or team of Loan Originators.
    • May completes residential mortgage loan applications within assignment.
    • Assists consumers in identifying proper residential mortgage loan products.
    • Advertises and communicates to the general public the loan origination services.
    • Complete all internal required continuing education courses assigned in the time they are due.
    • Exercise proficiency with all technology requirements including, but not limited to: Encompass, Compensafe, Blue Sage, FCM Knowledge Center, AUS systems, BAI Learning.
    • Represent FCM, both ethically and professionally, with a positive attitude and demeanor. Provide superior customer service, while exemplifying FCM in the community.
    • Uphold all internal and regulatory compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures, as hosted in the FCM Knowledge Center.
    • Maintain requirements of the NMLS registration process.
    • Report hours of work to management when due.
    • Complete mandatory new employee orientation.
    • Other duties as assigned.
     
    Qualifications:
    • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    Education and/or Experience:
    High School Diploma/GED; 3 years’ experience in mortgage industry and familiarity of documents included in the loan credit package preferred.
