Mortgage Development Manager manages a team of mortgage lending specialists in developing customer relationships, promoting mortgage loan products, and attaining volume and profit goals. Ensures that application processing follows state, federal, and organizational policies and guidelines and that customers have accurate loan information and guidance about product options. Being a Mortgage Development Manager conducts team training on company products and services. Coaches team members to promote a sales culture, improve selling techniques, and meet goals. Additionally, Mortgage Development Manager monitors trends and developments in the real estate markets and changes to private and government-insured mortgages. Maintains relationships with a network of realtors, attorneys, CPAs, and other contacts to obtain referrals and facilitate the lending process. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Mortgage Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Overview:

    This position functions within the Human Resources department and is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with tribal and non-tribal partners in order to create career development, scholarship or loan-repayment opportunities for employees and prospective applicants.

     

    This position will be required to develop program policies and processes around these opportunities. They will be required to report on these relationships and participation in developed programs. This position will require continuous research and outreach with potential partners.

    Responsibilities:

    • Outreach – Establishes relationships and partnerships with external agencies through outreach, with the goal of partnering to provide pipeline or career development opportunities that will enhance the skills and competencies of SEARHC staff.
    • Career Development – Works with Managers to identify all positions that can be a career ladder or grow your own position. Works with managers and partner agencies to create programs that will develop and grow employee skills and competencies in identified areas. Works with Human Resources and leadership to identify programs and partnerships to support leadership development and succession planning of current employees.
    • Scholarships/Loan Repayment – Subject matter expert on scholarship opportunities and loan repayment programs available for current and prospective employees. Responsible for establishing processes and policies to track and support these programs.
      • Acts as the go to person within the organization for staff and managers on scholarship and loan repayment
      • Establishes relationships with potential applicants like nursing students or students in ancillary or other clinical programs, supporting our recruitment efforts of those prospects.
    • Research – continuously researching scholarship and loan repayment opportunities with tribal and non-tribal agencies.
    • Other duties that support recruitment, career development or any other objectives of the Human Resources division

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a related field.
      • Associates degree and relevant experience or relevant years of experience may exchange for a degree.

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years experience in program development or project management.
    • A Master’s degree can be exchanged for experience.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    Knowledge of:

    • Tribal and other relevant partners.
    • Healthcare industry and the challenges of recruitment and career development
    • Human Resources and Recruitment

    Skills in:

    • Negotiation
    • Creating presentations and reporting
    • Building positive relationships at all levels of the organization as well as fostering and maintaining effective relationships with partner agencies.

    Ability to:

    • Present professionally and in a way that represents the organizations values
    • Motivate and support employees and SEARHC prospects
    • Listen to the needs and challenges of managers and recruiters and to support them by being creative and thinking outside the box.
