Mortgage Development Manager manages a team of mortgage lending specialists in developing customer relationships, promoting mortgage loan products, and attaining volume and profit goals. Ensures that application processing follows state, federal, and organizational policies and guidelines and that customers have accurate loan information and guidance about product options. Being a Mortgage Development Manager conducts team training on company products and services. Coaches team members to promote a sales culture, improve selling techniques, and meet goals. Additionally, Mortgage Development Manager monitors trends and developments in the real estate markets and changes to private and government-insured mortgages. Maintains relationships with a network of realtors, attorneys, CPAs, and other contacts to obtain referrals and facilitate the lending process. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Mortgage Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. What we are looking for: Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses Translate requirements into training that will groom employees for the next step of their career path Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results Deliver training courses Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employee’s work behavior Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development What you need to have: 5 years training experience facilitating residential mortgage training for Mortgage loan origination and operations roles inclusive of curriculum development and classroom delivery Supervisory experience is required Minimum of three years mortgage industry experience, with a thorough ability to recognize and review basic mortgage loan documentation Ability to work independently and as a team player Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc .) and Google Mail/Docs Proven ability to master the full training cycle Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $102,276.00 - $126,342.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
