Branch Lending Supervisor Non-Exempt | Hourly ($18.47-27.70)
OVERVIEW
The Branch Lending Supervisor oversees the Lebanon Micro Branch, guiding and advising Personal Financial Representatives in the efficient and accurate handling of member needs. Additionally, the Branch Lending Supervisor performs all PFR I, II, and III functions as needed with a high level of accuracy. Finally, the Branch Lending Supervisor troubleshoots Personal Teller Machines and oversees branch building needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
20% Supervise the Lebanon Micro Branch, including but not limited to scheduling employees, assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, promoting member relations, and explaining lending policies and procedures to employees and members.
25% Assist members in completing loan applications over the phone, electronically, and in the branch. Interview loan applicants and provide information on consumer loan products that best meet the member’s needs. Request and review all required information and documentation to secure a loan. Complete comprehensive, prompt, accurate, and efficient member loans.
20% Promote, explain, and cross-sell other credit union services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates, safe deposit boxes, debit and credit cards, online banking, traveler’s checks, and money orders. Provide member service, including but not limited to opening/closing accounts.
15% Notify members of loan decisions. Correspond with members and creditors to resolve questions regarding application information. Recommend and outline terms of loan. Inform prospective borrowers of loan commitments.
5% Greet and welcome members to the Credit Union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
5% Obtain and evaluate credit reports. Calculate debt-to-income ratios on consumer loan applicants. Identify collateral needs and payment plans for members applying for routine loans.
5% Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules, and regulations for lending. Review regulations as they apply to installment loan security agreements.
5% Ensure that the branch is properly stocked with forms, supplies, brochures, etc.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years' loan-related experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.
High School or GED required.
SKILLS
Candidates must maintain a significant level of trust and diplomacy to be effective in this position. Individuals must conduct in-depth conversations and explanations with members and oversee direct reports. Information of a sensitive or highly confidential nature are a normal part of the day-to-day experience. In addition, communication can involve motivating, influencing, educating, and advising others on matters of significance.
ADA REQUIREMENTS
Individuals must bend, sit, and stand to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency. Must operate standard office equipment, including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must work extended hours or travel off-site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
