Mortgage Credit Manager manages a group of mortgage credit supervisors and monitors application procedures to ensure assignments meet established processes/standards. Oversees analysis of current, new and renewed residential loans. Being a Mortgage Credit Manager provides recommendations for improvement to top management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Mortgage Credit Manager typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Mortgage Credit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Mortgage Credit Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Outside Mortgage Loan Originators perform the following functions:

    • Generating first mortgage real estate loans from the MIDFLORIDA field of membership
    • Reviewing pre-qualifications to determine appropriate programs and products for clients
    • Issuing prequalification letters and appropriate disclosures
    • Processing referrals and online applications
    • Reviewing credit reports and locking in loans with secondary market (if applicable)
    • Auditing files for complete information and compliance with secondary market guidelines
    • Providing good faith estimates, truth-in-lending, and other appropriate disclosures to borrowers within 3 business days of application

    Qualifications include:

    • Excellent service, communication, and organizational skills
    • 3 years of government (FHA/VA/USDA) and conventional loan origination experience
    • Advanced knowledge of real estate market
    • Thorough understanding of Federal and State mortgage regulations
    • Experience with loan underwriting and secondary market guidelines
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
