Job Title: Mortgage Compliance Specialist

Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Mortgage Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role involves monitoring and implementing compliance measures, conducting audits, and collaborating with various teams to maintain a high level of regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Stay informed about changes in mortgage-related laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
   • Ensure all mortgage activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

2. Policy Development and Implementation:

   • Develop and update mortgage compliance policies and procedures.
   • Implement and communicate changes to ensure company-wide understanding and adherence.

3. Audit and Monitoring:

   • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies.
   • Collaborate with external auditors and regulators during compliance reviews.

4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:

   • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of compliance-related activities.
   • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies in a timely manner.

5. Training and Education:

   • Provide training sessions to employees on mortgage compliance matters.
   • Keep staff informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices.

6. Risk Assessment:

   • Evaluate potential risks associated with mortgage operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
   • Work with other departments to implement risk management measures.

7. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with legal, operations, and risk management teams to address compliance issues.
   • Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies.
