We are excited to be growing our manufacturing team and currently seeking an experienced master bakerwho wants to help us create delicious snacks and get them into the hands of people all over the country. Our team members take pride in their work, lead by example, and uphold the highest levels of safety, quality, and service.

As a Master Pretzel Baker at Stellar, you will lead our baking team to create and maintain the quality of our snacks and ensure smooth baking operations. You will have a strong understanding of the baking arts including seasoning techniques and progressive experience operating industrial-sized ovens. You will also have the opportunity to work with our R&D team to create fresh and exciting new products!

What does a day as a Master Pretzel Maker look like?

• Developing and executing creative and innovative bakery items to offer our customers
• Overseeing all baking operations, including preparation, baking, decoration, and presentation
• Overseeing baking quality to create consistent products
• Managing baking team and delegating tasks effectively so the team can reach its goals
• Implements and maintains food safety and sanitation standards
• Ensures compliance with local and federal health codes along with 3rd party inspectors
• Controls baking ingredient costs and make informed decisions to maximize profitability
• Stays current on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish
• Must be authorized to work in the United States, we participate in E-Verify
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a bread maker or pastry chef (or equivalent combination) in an industrial or restaurant setting
• Minimum of 3 years’ of demonstrated leadership and management experience; supervising 10 or more employees preferred
• Ability to work (4) 12-hour shifts per week (Sun- Wed or Wed- Sat)
• Ability to work the following hours: Days: 6:00AM - 6:30PM or Nights: 6:00PM - 6:30AM
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards
• Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 35 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to read, write, speak, comprehend, and execute required safety protocols, instructions, and training in English and Spanish
• Ability to read and write numbers, letters, and comprehend packaging instructions
• Ability to perform tasks with manual dexterity
• Ability to meet regular, predictable, and reliable attendance requirements at the assigned work location for the entire shift with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures, from hot to cold

Bonus Points

• Bachelor’s degree in pastry/baking arts preferred
