Customer Support Specialist – Industrial Mixers
We are a privately owned manufacturer of engineered industrial equipment for diverse industries. Due to growth, we have an immediate opening for a person with customer service skills and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities:
Receive, process, support and solicit Customer Inquiries for our Products.
Send out requests for customer drawing approvals and maintain a system for follow-up and record of outstanding requests.
Update and maintain the Customer Database with new information on Clients, their inquiries, future interests, orders, shipments and potential testimonial information.
Answer customer phone calls, emails and other inquiries about product inquiries and documentation requests. This also includes preparing product and spare parts quotations and estimates for customers with assistance from the engineering department.
Enter customer purchase orders, communicate with production staff about schedules and coordinate shipment arrangements with customers.
Some outbound marketing to include sending out technical bulletins, quote follow up, contacting prospects on their inquiries and product needs, preparing marketing material and blog posts for the company website.

A willing and engaging personality that customers will like coupled with a detailed and organized mind.
Ability to learn the products, understand technical specifications and become comfortable with discussing these products in technical terms with customers. This implies basic understanding of mechanical and electrical terminology and desire to increase technical aptitude on the job.
Experience in industrial or engineered products customer support is a major plus.
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
Proven excellence in Power Point, Excel, Outlook and MS Word.
Experience with Photoshop and/or publishing software is a plus.
Uses systems and methods so that follow up dates and important reminders are not overlooked.
Working knowledge of Blueprints and Mechanical Drawings is important. This position will become skilled (over many months) on our Products and should be able to directly reply to most Customer questions without Engineering assistance
Proven problem solving capabilities with excellent written and spoken communication skills when working with Customers, Production, Sales and Engineering
Experience in market research will be helpful.
