- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to MDS assessments
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary medical documentation for accurate coding
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall care delivery process
- Provide education and training to staff regarding MDS assessment processes and requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN)
- Previous experience as an MDS Coordinator or similar role preferred
- In-depth knowledge of MDS assessment processes, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations
- Strong understanding of infection control practices in healthcare settings
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic medical record systems
- Ability to perform physical examinations and phlebotomize as needed
