Assists in developing a comprehensive care plan. Being a Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator (LPN) maintains medical records and ensures documentation is present for coding. Adheres to federal, state, and local regulations and organizational policies and procedures. Additionally, Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator (LPN) requires a high school diploma. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification. Typically reports to a mds rn. Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator (LPN)'s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. The ideal MDS Coordinator (LPN) candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Active LPN license
- Minimum of 2 years of LPNAC experience in long-term care
- knowledge of MDS Assessment process, Medicare, and long-term care federal and state regulations
- experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, MDS completion, clinical resource utilization, and/or case management is highly desirable
MDS Coordinator (LPN) Benefits:
