Mine Manager is responsible for the overall management of mining projects. Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance. Being a Mine Manager ensures the safety and health of mine workers. Recommends corrective action when problems are detected. Additionally, Mine Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. May require certification by the MSHA. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mine Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. We are looking for a person with a mining and/or instrumentation background to manage our Mining Group. They would operate from our Tucson, AZ office and manage and support the implementation of our systems at various projects particularly in the Arizona and New Mexico areas but also around the country and world. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities of the Mine Group Manager Include:
Help organize group financials including project and group costing, budgeting and forecasting
Manage Mine Group staff
Manage Mine Group client relations
Manage sub-contractors
Develop project opportunities
Develop project specifications and designs
Develop and deliver content such as white papers and presentations
Organize project/case histories for marketing & sales
Present project/case histories at conferences/client meetings
Mine Group Manager Expertise Desired:

Monitoring technologies including instrumentation and data service providers
Geospatial data, systems and platforms
Geotechnical/geomechanical data reduction and presentation methods
