Mine Manager is responsible for the overall management of mining projects. Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance. Being a Mine Manager ensures the safety and health of mine workers. Recommends corrective action when problems are detected. Additionally, Mine Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. May require certification by the MSHA. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Mine Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Mine Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Register guests and assign rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
- Assist with resolving guest complaints or issues, escalating to management when necessary
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean and ready for guest arrivals
- Maintain a neat and organized front desk area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Strong guest relations skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hotel management systems is a plus
- Bilingual skills (e.g., English/Spanish) are desirable but not required
