Semmel Excavating is seeking an experienced and skilled Foreman. As a leading excavation company in Eastern PA, we specialize in providing high-quality service for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
• Lead and supervise a team of crew members, including equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors, to ensure productivity, teamwork, and adherence to company standards
• Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks to monitor progress, identify any issues or concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors to provide updates, address inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and equipment records, to track project progress, expenses, and resources

The selected candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in construction, with demonstrated experience in a leadership role
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, skid steers, and loaders
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Basic computer knowledge is a plus
