We are seeking a skilled and experienced person to join our team as the construction foreman in Rhode Island. As this person you will be responsible for overseeing excavation projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties:
· Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with regulations and client requirements
· Manage all aspects of excavation projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution
· Assign workers to tasks, explain the work, and supervise the execution of the work.
· Monitor work performance and productivity of crew members
· Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion
· Supervise and coordinate suppliers, and on-site personnel
· Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or concerns
· Be punctual, reliable, and have an excellent work ethic.
· Take care of the machines with daily greasing and fueling.
· Ensure the work site is maintained and that equipment is running properly
· Must be willing and able to help labor on site when needed
· Use safe practices in all activities.

Qualifications:
· Experience operating a variety of equipment such as Front-End Loaders, Backhoes, Skid Steers, Excavators, Dozers, Graders, etc.
· Ability to work overtime if needed and Monday through Friday, sometimes Saturdays as the business requires
· Experience of construction site work grading, utility, sewer, and drainage installation
· Experience with reading a set of plans, setting grades, running a project on your own with foresight to see what’s needed to keep the crew busy at all times
· Excellent supervisory and Team leadership skills
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Tolerate all outside working conditions and be willing to get in or out of the machines to do what it takes to get the job done.
