Milk Receiver receives all incoming grocery shipments. Examines merchandise for damage or defects. Being a Milk Receiver practices safe food handling procedures. Verifies shipment information against bill of lading or invoice. Additionally, Milk Receiver inputs required receiving data into system. Generates and attaches identification labels to products. Ensures that the receiving area is clean, safe, and secure and that packing materials are properly processed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Milk Receiver works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Summary :
Oversee the receiving dock area to receive, inspect, identify, count and verify quality and labeling of all materials and supplies delivered to the facility;
complete related documentation, coordinate the storage of supplies and enter information into inventory database and other similar duties necessary to the movement and maintenance of supplies and raw materials observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.
Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities :
Inspect date sensitive items, perform temperature checks, quality checks on products and take appropriate action as needed.
