Milk Receiver receives all incoming grocery shipments. Examines merchandise for damage or defects. Being a Milk Receiver practices safe food handling procedures. Verifies shipment information against bill of lading or invoice. Additionally, Milk Receiver inputs required receiving data into system. Generates and attaches identification labels to products. Ensures that the receiving area is clean, safe, and secure and that packing materials are properly processed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Milk Receiver works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. General Description: Receive all incoming shipments. Ensure all items are accounted for when unloading trucks. Inform supervisor if all items are not accounted for. Review paperwork and receive items into the inventory system after properly tagging items. Must follow instructions on orders to manufacture products within the company and customer’s specifications. Learn and follow all company guidelines and policies and ensure all documentation is filled out correctly and completely. Be able to troubleshoot and identify ways to improve and ensure production of Department and quality standards are met on a daily basis. Training (OTJ Training) by the IMN Quality Department must be provided to ensure the incoming component inspections are performed properly by the receiver in the warehouse department.
