Milk Receiver receives all incoming grocery shipments. Examines merchandise for damage or defects. Being a Milk Receiver practices safe food handling procedures. Verifies shipment information against bill of lading or invoice. Additionally, Milk Receiver inputs required receiving data into system. Generates and attaches identification labels to products. Ensures that the receiving area is clean, safe, and secure and that packing materials are properly processed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Milk Receiver works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
