Milk Receiver receives all incoming grocery shipments. Examines merchandise for damage or defects. Being a Milk Receiver practices safe food handling procedures. Verifies shipment information against bill of lading or invoice. Additionally, Milk Receiver inputs required receiving data into system. Generates and attaches identification labels to products. Ensures that the receiving area is clean, safe, and secure and that packing materials are properly processed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Milk Receiver works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Warehouse Receiving Associate, Back-Up Truck Driver -
As part of a dynamic team, you will be involved in all aspects of Receiving donations at our ReStore. You will either be unloading furniture, appliances, and other home furnishings from people's personal vehicles or unloading the ReStore's box truck and moving the items to the sales floor. In addition to offloading and loading customer vehicles, responsibilities include organizing, pricing and processing donations, as well as other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities May Include:
Provide excellent customer service to our donors, customers and volunteers.
Unloading and loading customer vehicles. Process incoming donations.
Stock inventory and prepare merchandise displays.
Assist customers in the sale of merchandise.
Follow all policies and procedures for sales and for the safe handling and display of merchandise.
Required:
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, 100 lbs.
Positive attitude, with high energy level.
Understanding of and enthusiasm for Habitat’s mission.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
Willingness and ability to work in warehouse conditions including, heat, cold, and dust.
Must be able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Must pass criminal background check and PA child abuse clearance.
